Since Ridge Racer 6 has been made backwards compatible with Xbox One/Series, I've proceeded to complete the entire game but the last 5 challenges + online cars. I've decided to hold off on those, and now, I think about 60%-75% through Ridge Racer 7 on my PS3 today.

If you can get the PC-Version of 2006, it's easily moddable to 4K@60 and plays perfectly with an analogue controller.
- Racing Evolution - The Rise and Fall of Ridge Racer - ResetEraVery, very few games left a bigger impression on me than the first game from 1993. It's addictive, it plays like a dream, all the way up to the last game I've played, Ridge Racer 6. That's probably my favorite entry, along with Ridge Racer Type-4. But, the PlayStation-exclusive Ridge Racer Revolution has also a very special place in my heart.

The course design in 6 was the strongest ever, there was a ton of single-player content, the sense of speed was phenomenal, the online racing was fantastic, the soundtrack was good, and it still looks great today.

Ridge Racer 6 is backwards compatible on Xbox Series S/X, though in many regions you can't buy it so you'll need the disc. If you consider the 3DS and Vita modern, each of those got a Ridge Racer game.
